The '''death ego''' can be found on heavy [[body armour]] ([[scale mail]] or heavier). It provides a [[spell enhancer]] to [[Necromancy]] and halves the [[Spell Success#Modifiers|raw failure rate]] of [[Necromancy]] spells, but causes non-Necromancy spells to cost HP equal to their MP cost.

The failure rate modifier is roughly equivalent to 5 levels of [[wizardry]]. This is not considered wizardry but stacks independently with wizardry.
