'''Grey elves''' advance slowly, but not as slowly as [[High Elf|high elves]]. They excel at using [[Short Blades]] and [[Long Blades]] and [[bows]], but are poor at other fighting [[skill]]s. They are excellent at all forms of magic except for [[Necromancy]] and [[Earth Magic]].

They were something of a midpoint between [[High elf|high elves]] and [[Deep elf|deep elves]]: virtually all of their aptitudes, as well as their HP and MP, lay between those two races', although they tended to be somewhat closer to those of deep elves. The one notable exception was [[Air Magic]]: out of all the types of elves, they had the most talent for that.

Grey elves prefer to become [[Healer]]s, [[Crusader]]s, [[Reaver]]s, [[Wizard]]s, [[Conjurer]]s, [[Enchanter]]s, [[Summoner]]s, [[Fire Elementalist]]s, [[Ice Elementalist]]s, [[Air Elementalist]]s, [[Stalker]]s, [[Assassin]]s and [[Hunter]]s.

* 1 point of [[Intel]] or [[Dex]] every 4 levels
* -1 [[hp]] every level while below character level 14

Grey elves used to get a [[Glamour]] ability at level 5 with an extra point of [[mp]], this was removed in Stone Soup. Grey Elves were removed altogether in version 0.5 in Stone Soup.
