This scroll enchants a wielded weapon to be more likely to hit opponents. The gained amount is +1 or 0 if the weapon is already highly enchanted. It also does not enchant artifact weapons. The scroll may also be used to enchant missiles.


Uses

This scroll is most useful applied to the character's main hand weapon. It may be used to remove a curse on a weapon. This scroll is not uncommon, so several will normally be found in the course of a long game.

Effects

Uncursing

Any wielded cursed weapon will be uncursed. The message you get is the following:

"Your [wielded weapon] glows green for a moment."

Increase to-hit-modifier

The chance to increase the to-hit-modifier of your wielded weapon or the wielded missiles is scaled according to the current to-hit-modifier as follows:

The messages you will receive are success-dependant.

When successfully enchanting weapons:

"Your [wielded weapon] glows green for a moment."

When successfully enchanting missiles:

"Your [wielded missiles] glow green for a moment."

When the attempt to enchant anything fails:

"Nothing happens."

Self-Identifying

If the enchantment was successful the scroll is identified.
