I've been playing Crawl on [https://cbro.berotato.org/ CBR2] since August 2023. The security certificate for CBR2 expired on November 24, 2023 before being restored on December 5, 2023, so I switched to [https://crawl.kelbi.org/ CKO] during that time. A recent discussion on Discord revealed that CKO is shutting down sometime in February, and the 0.31 release is planned to be in January. The return of CBR2 makes the former a non-issue. I currently have active games on both servers, so I'll finish those before deciding which server to do the tournament on. I'm currently leaning toward CBR2 for the tournament. After the tournament, I'll be playing 0.31 on CBR2. I've been playing Crawl on CBR2 since August 2023 with CDI as backup server. In late November and early December 2023, I played on (now defunct) CKO due to issues with CBR2. Here's my stats page. (technically not the official one, but it has more info than what CAO has)

I created a page documenting a Formicid Venom Mage of Ru in 0.30 here.

Tournaments

DCSS holds a tournament upon the release of each version. The tournament lasts 16 days and counts all games of the new version that are played on official servers. The table below shows some stats for each tournament I've participated in, with the version being a link to a page in my userspace with additional information on my performance in that tournament.

Version Overall Score Overall Rank* Total Players Wins Games Longest Streak Highest Score Lowest TC Win Fastest RT Win Most Pacific Win
0.31 25,247 340 2,731 1 27 n/a 1,799,189 58,128 8:57:09 2,759
0.32 34,857 221 2,842 1 17 n/a 3,106,034 49,047 4:35:43 2,240
0.33 46,476 85 2,871 3 16 n/a 3,368,035 27,743 2:38:01 1,479

*Unlike the tournament page, this table doesn't compress ties.

Notes

  • I took a hiatus during the entire 0.34 development cycle.
  • The tournament had multiple rule changes relevant to this table in 0.34. Prior to this version:
    • Most Pacific Win was a category, which awarded points based on low kill count.
    • Streak Length was a relative category that awarded 10,000 points to the longest streak. The category is now worth double.
  • Prior to 0.33, Streak Length was a proportional category that awarded 400*length points.
