Rings of teleportation are the only renewable source of teleport in the game: thus, it is often worth keeping one around. However, keep in mind that it takes high evocations to be able to teleport reliably. It's best for escaping when you can see a bad situation coming and have time to swap rings and accept a failure or two, rather than when you're already in a bad situation and every aut counts.
