A ring of protection from fire protects its wearer from fire-based attacks, providing one level of fire resistance (rF+).
Strategy
As fire-based attacks are fairly frequent, a player will usually want at least a single level of fire resistance constantly. Thus, many players will choose to wear one of these rings constantly, although using it as a swap is usually a viable strategy as well.
