This page covers the spell. For the summoned construct, see Platinum paragon (monster).

This page is a stub. You could probably expand this page should you wish to do so.
Constructs a gleaming metal champion whose prowess rivals that of the greatest living warriors. It is resistant to all forms of magic and wields a perfect replica of any artefact melee weapon the caster chooses.

It creates a damaging shockwave around itself when first deployed and slowly gains charge as it attacks enemies. When it has gained sufficient charge, the spell may be recast to overload the paragon, unleashing a flurry of attacks in a wide area which inflict increased damage, but destroying the paragon in the process.

Due to the magical link it maintains with its creator, it will perform an extra attack whenever they do, and will sometimes even parry attacks directed at them, if they are close enough together.

Platinum Paragon is a level 9 Forgecraft spell that creates a platinum paragon. You can deploy it in a selected square inside a 7x7 region around you, which does some damage to nearby enemies. Note that this could damage your allies too, and there is no warning about that currently. The paragon can fight by itself, but to get the most out of it, you need to participate in fights too. When you perform a normal melee attack, your paragon will also perform an instant melee attack again a random enemy in its range.

While standing within 2 tiles of your paragon, you get the Protected status, which is a 1/3 chance to block any attack targeting you.

The paragon builds up charge as it attacks enemies, and when it has attained a sufficient amount, the spell can be recast to perform a powerful finisher - unleashing a weapon attack with a bonus damage multiplier against many nearby enemies, and destroying the paragon in the process.

Imprint Weapon ability

Analyzes the structural composition of an artefact melee weapon in your inventory and imprints it upon your Platinum Paragon spell, allowing it to wield a functional replica of it whenever you create one.

Note that you need to assign an artefact melee weapon to your paragon before you can summon it. Learning the spell gives you the Imprint weapon ability that requires having an appropriate artefact in your inventory or standing on an artefact. Using this ability takes 6 turns, so you can't easily use it in combat.

You can imprint any artefact melee weapon, including artefact magical staves (regular magical staves don't work). Unrandarts can be imprinted too, and the lochaber axe is one of the best weapons you can give to your paragon.
