Somewhere in 0.31, I made the CBA template, so it's easier to make notes about upcoming changes. During the couple of recent versions and especially during the 0.33 dev cycle, I and a couple of other editors CBAed new features as soon as they were added to trunk. This allowed to have all important new changes in the Wiki before the release. There were around 220 CBAed articles when the 0.33 tournament started.

Keeping up with the trunk is possible, but it's pretty exhaustive. Also, focusing on new stuff means less attention for existing articles, which require update after each and every release too. It's a lot of manual work, the amount of said work constantly increases, and there's not enough active people for that. If someone wants to continue doing this, make sure to use an LLM. They are pretty good at summarizing texts, and converting commits into wiki edits feels like a perfect job for them. Doing all that by hand is a sure way to burn out.

At the same time, the number of edits during the tournament itself was the lowest in like 3-4 years. One month later, there are 198 CBAed articles still, not just from 0.33, but from earlier versions too.

So I'm going to stop any attempts to document all trunk changes, and will limit my involvement in CrawlWiki editing in general. I'll be around for occasional edits, though. Ge0ff (talk) 14:19, 9 June 2025 (CEST)
