Mostly Obsolete: This article refers to an aspect of the game which has largely been removed, but a few of its aspects are still relevant.

Divinations was the skill which governed the casting of Divinations spells. Improving this skill increased the spell power of these spells as a well as the chance of casting them successfully.

Although Divinations magic and its associated skill are no longer available to the player, some of the spell effects are still available through certain scrolls, and you can still suffer Divinations miscast effects by blundering into Zot traps, getting assaulted by orange crystal statues, or from a number of other sources.

History

The Divinations spell school was removed in 0.6.

Several Divinations spells were still available through the use of a rod of discovery until that was removed in 0.8.
