Parrying

Version 0.34: This article is up to date for the latest stable release of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.

It shields the wearer if their last action was a melee attack. The shielding is half as effective if the wielder's offhand is occupied by an item other than their weapon.

The parrying brand can be found on gloves. It increases SH for 1 turn when attacking, +4 SH with a non-weapon item in the offhand, or +8 SH otherwise.
