A powerful, belligerent Efreet. (Is there any other kind?)

Azrael is a unique efreet, often accompanied by several hell hounds and fire elementals. Like all efreets, he comes armed with a powerful flaming scimitar, but he's much happier hitting you with his wide variety of Fire Magic and hellfire spells.

Fire resistance will defend against most of his spells and melee attacks, but nothing prevents his hellfire.
Use conservation to protect your scrolls.
He has poor evasion and is vulnerable to cold, so zap him with a wand of cold a few times for a quick kill.
He is immune to Silence.
