Barbs is a status effect which causes the victim to sustain damage each time it attempts to move. After enough time has passed, the victim will remove the barbs, ending the status effect. Alternatively, continuous movement may eventually snap the barbs loose, ending the effect early (although doing so will cause the barbs to injure you).

The Barbs status effect is inflicted whenever a target is hit by the Throw Barbs spell, which the following enemies can cast:
