Useful Info

Death oozes are fast undead jellies that eat items, corrode your armor, inflicts rot, and are brutal in melee combat. They are thankfully rare, appearing only in the Slime Pits

Tips & Tricks

The death ooze is one of the most unpleasant sources of rot in the game, second only to death drakes. They're too fast for most characters to outrun, they eat most ammunition, and they have decent magic resistance to go along with their full set of undead resistances. That being said, killing them from a distance is really your best bet. If you have them, large rocks are an excellent option, as is Dispel Undead or aggressive application of Fire Magic. If you have to enter melee range with them, use gear that resists acidic corrosion and kill them fast to avoid unnecessary rot (weapons of holy wrath work just fine).
