Useful Info
Death yaks are far tougher than their yak brethren. They're the most dangerous monsters in the Lair, appearing in packs and hitting hard enough to quickly wipe out casters.
Tips & Tricks
Most of the tricks you've used thus far to take out dangerous monsters quickly won't work on death yaks; they've got enough magic resistance and HD to shake off most anything but brute force. Attack them from a distance, flood them with summoned or undead minions, and lure them upstairs one at a time for safe disposal. Their poison vulnerability can be the key to kiting them successfully. Never face down more than one at once until you've grown strong enough.
