It has been blessed by The Shining One, dealing an additional three-quarters of any damage that pierces undead and demons' armour.

The holy wrath brand does the following:

  • Against undead and demons, deals an average of +75% damage (min. 1, max. +150%).[1] This is independent from "holy" damage, so undead that are rHoly (e.g. profane servitors) are not immune to holy wrath.

You cannot wield weapons with this brand if you yourself are undead (Mummy, Ghoul, all Vampires, in Death Form) or a demonspawn. Holy wrath will also offend Yredelemnul, though the other evil gods won't mind.

  • In 0.32, undead and demonspawn will be able to wield weapons of holy wrath, but the holy wrath brand won't function.
  • Prior to 0.24, weapons of holy wrath were immune to being cursed, even from Ashenzari.
  • Prior to 0.4, holy wrath only dealt +50% average damage against undead (but had the same damage vs. demons).
