The mask of the High Priest of ancient Erebora. In ancient times, the gods of the Ereborans ceased to answer their prayers, and in desperation, the people turned to the forbidden worship of dragons. Now, of their works, only this mask remains.

The mask of the dragon[1] provides a nice willpower boost, and having see invisible is convenient, but its most interesting aspect is the +3 slaying. In exchange, it provides no AC bonus.

For melee and ranged fighters, this tradeoff is usually worthwhile. Low AC characters may prefer a +2 helmet, though, and there are better randart hats/helmets out there. For casters, the willpower alone can make it worth using (if you don't have another hat of willpower).
