Useful Info

Mummy priests are the animated remains of powerful Necromancy-practitioners. Although they can summon demonic or undead reinforcements, their biggest strength lies in their ability to smite or torment you at will. Their mummy death curses are some of the worst you will encounter. Fortunately, they are slow and easily run from if you turn around as soon as you see them. Mummy priests are only found in the Tomb or near its entrance.

Spells: Summon Demon, Smiting (1d11 + 6), Symbol of Torment and Summon Undead.

Tips & Tricks

  • Mummy priests are extremely dangerous opponents, tormenting and smiting you from a safe distance while their summons and mummy allies slow you down. Don't let them live any longer than you have to.
  • Catching them with Silence will shut down all of their spells, making them much more manageable.
  • Avoiding their death curse is advisable. It can savage your stats, deal tremendous amounts of negative energy or torment damage, or summon powerful demons against you. The Haunt spell, Tukima's Dance on holy wrath weapons, or any powerful Summonings spell is recommended.
  • If you do end up killing them yourself, a ring of sustain abilities or two and being undead through Necromutation or just by nature will take much of the sting out of their death curse. Abjuration is also useful for getting rid of any demonic reinforcements.
