Despite its name, and unlike the similar ability that purple draconians possess, this is not a bolt spell; it cannot affect multiple targets, and can be blocked with a shield. Conversely, the spell can occasionally be cast by the player through the use of a Random Bolt spell, as evoked through a rod of destruction.
