| This ring increases or decreases the mental ability of its wearer, depending on the degree to which it has been enchanted. |
A ±X ring of intelligence affects the intelligence of the wearer by X (ranges from +6 to -6). If the enchantment is negative, the ring is usually cursed, and can cause stat death if not removed.
These rings are highly prized by casters of all stripes, since they reduce spell hunger while increasing spell success and power.
