Useful Info

Shadow imps are one of the flimsier Tier-5 demons, but they can still cause significant trouble with their Necromancy spells. They are found in the Abyss, and are occasionally summoned by a wide variety of enemies.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you're not yet terribly powerful, avoid fighting them near the corpses of foes you've already beaten, or it may raise them. On the other hand, if you can handle the zombies, they are worth experience, unlike most other monster-created monsters.
  • Although it's easy to summon your own shadow imps with the Call Imp spell, these allies will never cast Animate Dead.

History

Prior to 0.12, summoned shadow imps would cast Animate Dead, allowing characters with no Necromancy skill to generate armies of the dead.
