A skeleton is one of the items produced by butchering a corpse. Like corpses, skeletons cannot be picked up. While any corpse will produce chunks, only monsters with a skeletal structure can produce skeletons. Skeletons are also produced when corpses rot away over time or through the Corpse Rot spell; skeletons themselves will rot away some time afterward.
