Not to be confused with quick blades, the rare Speed brand allows weapons to attack twice as fast as normal, but each attack will only deal 90% of normal damage. Even so, this is still a tremendous increase in damage output, especially on high damage weapons.

This brand is only found on short blades, staves, and artefacts. Using such weapons offends Cheibriados.

When an artifact with this brand is a ranged launcher, like the Bow of Krishna "Sharnga", it attacks one and a half times faster, instead of twice as fast, and it also stacks with any brands on the ammo used.

Tips & Tricks

This brand is best on high-damage weapons, as they can afford the damage loss more effectively. A dagger of speed, for example, would barely dent a high-AC target.
