The Spriggan's Knife is very useful to stabbers, especially those relying on spells such as Confusing Touch or Mephitic Cloud instead of Ensorcelled Hibernation. It is also very useful for summoners due to the distraction effect of summons granting free tier-1 stabs independent of willpower or HD. Unfortunately, it isn't much use to other characters unless you find it very early on, since an unbranded dagger is a poor weapon for general combat.

A dainty little knife which was made by Spriggans, or for Spriggans, or possibly from Spriggans. Anyway, it's in some way associated with those fey folk.

It is more effective when stabbing unaware enemies, treating them as though they were completely helpless.

Desirability

The Spriggan's Knife[1] is an incredibly powerful item for stabbers. Monsters who are distracted, confused, or even those who haven't noticed you yet will have the full force of a sleep-tier stab, which is often a one-shot with dedicated builds. Many of these stabs are effective even against monsters with extreme HD or willpower; all monsters can fail to notice you, while allied summons will distract enemies a lot, and only a select few monsters are immune to a throwing net. Unfortunately, it isn't much use to other characters unless you find it very early on, since an unbranded dagger is a poor weapon for general combat.
