Useful Info
Spriggan riders are fast mounted opponents which ride giant fireflies, shooting you with needles while spriggan foot soldiers and wildlife charge in to attack you. If you kill one, there's a chance that you'll only kill the rider, leaving the giant firefly to face you alone. They are uncommon, found only in the rare spriggan forests found throughout the dungeon and its branches.
Tips & Tricks
- Only killing the rider is somewhat annoying, but giant fireflies are weak enough that it's not a major issue. Think of it as extra XP.
- Poison resistance renders their needles harmless.
- They need a clear line of fire to shoot you, which is hard for them to achieve when fighting in the densely wooded forests. Even so, it's best to lure them away from the trees by backing away behind a corner, just in case a spriggan druid casts Awaken Forest on you.
