Sublimation of Blood is a level 2 Necromancy spell which converts wielded chunks of flesh or potions of blood into MP. Should you cast the spell without flesh or blood wielded (normally an emergency move or a mistaken cast), you convert your own HP into MP. *Casting the spell without wielding a fuel source will fail if you are unable to bleed. This applies to undead species (mummies, ghouls, and vampires at less than Full satiation), casters who are bodily transformed into a form that cannot bleed (e.g. Statue Form, Ice Form, Necromutation), or casters who are immune to damage via Death's Door.

Converts some of the caster's blood into magical energy. The process is painful but never directly lethal. The efficiency of the conversion increases with the spell's power.

Sublimation of Blood is a level 2 Necromancy spell which converts your own HP into MP.

Effect

When cast, it returns 1+X MP, where X is a negative binomial random variable with parameters r=1 and p=1-6/spellpower. The average amount of recovered MP per casting is spellpower/6. Each MP recovered costs you 1 to 4 HP with average 1 + 18/spellpower HP.[1]

The damage caused by this spell can never kill you.

Sublimation of Blood can't be cast by the undead or non-living or when standing in Death's Door. Vampires can use the spell when at least satiated.

Useful Info

 • Sublimation of Blood has great synergy with Regeneration: draw energy from your own body with Sublimation of Blood to regain some MP, then cast Regeneration to regain the lost health at an accelerated pace.
 • If you're in the heat of battle and intend to use this spell as an emergency MP source, don't let your MP reach 0; you need at least 2 MP to perform the first, hopefully successful, Sublimation spell.

History

Prior to 0.15, Sublimation of Blood could be used to turn chunks and potions of blood into MP. Also, Fedhas deprecated its use.
