Think these guys should go in the list of vampires? --spudwalt 01:15, 1 June 2013 (CEST)

Sure enough! - What about giant leeches? -- Bwijn 02:00, 1 June 2013 (CEST)
While they are evil, they're still natural creatures. Undeath is definitely a prerequisite for vampiricism. I'd say leave the leeches out. Jiangshi should go in though. --MoogleDan 15:29, 1 June 2013 (CEST)

Origin of the Jiangshi is obviously Chinese mythology. Thus "Far east", Spudwalt. You are right that talking of "Far east" means to be looking from Europe or North America, which is not suitable. - Chinese and Indian mythology are rich in colorful "fairies". I'd expect to see chinese "ghost foxes" to be introduced in DCSS sometimes. -- Bwijn 11:09, 2 June 2013 (CEST)

Yeah, I know that "Far East" refers to China and stuff, but who knows if China even exists in the world of Dungeon Crawl? For all we know, Crawl's jiangshi could have originated someplace in the northwest of their world. That's why I figured it works better to have a less specific description of where they come from.
It would be interesting to see what the devs would do with stuff like the huli jing or kitsune (though I'm pretty sure rakshasas already kinda fill that role from a gameplay standpoint). --spudwalt 21:36, 2 June 2013 (CEST)
