Isn't there also a Placid Magic mutation that can affect spell success? --spudwalt (talk) 02:59, 27 March 2015 (CET)

Yes there is. Higher spell success but lower spell power. The question is whether to call it a good mutation or a bad one. It's pretty awesome for hybrid characters that need utility spells online, yet it sucks for pure casters who need spell power for damage. --Fambida (talk) 18:17, 27 March 2015 (CET)
The argument of Good Mutation vs. Bad Mutation isn't determined by whether or not you actually want it. Good Mutation and Bad Mutation are clarified in game by whether you're able to get one from a potion of beneficial mutation (good) or whether you're likely to get one from the Malmutate spell (bad). To determine in game, just look at the color of the text when looking at your mutations screen: if Placid Magic comes up in red, it's bad. --MoogleDan (talk) 13:48, 28 March 2015 (CET)
