A violent murderer who kills for both pleasure and profit, Terence has been forced into hiding after a botched job. There's a price on his head, and he can't afford to leave anyone who sees him alive!

“A MAN committed a murder, and was pursued by the relations of the man whom he murdered. On his reaching the river Nile he saw a Lion on its bank and being fearfully afraid, climbed up a tree. He found a serpent in the upper branches of the tree, and again being greatly alarmed, he threw himself into the river, where a crocodile caught him and ate him. Thus the earth, the air, and the water alike refused shelter to a murderer.”
-Aesop, _The Manslayer_. 6th century BCE.

Useful Info

Terence the Incautious is a fairly weak unique human fighter, likely one of the first uniques you will encounter and much less deadly than Sigmund. He occasionally generates with a wand, but should not pose much of a threat otherwise.

Tips & Tricks

  • Don't be so overconfident that you attack him while wounded. Take him out safely once you've recovered to full health and collect that cheap XP.
  • Disable him with your own wands or soften him up with throwing weapons if you don't want to risk him getting a lucky hit in.
  • Whilst Terence might seem like a pushover, he has the potential to deal a decent amount of damage, and combined with his moderately heavy armour, he can surprise the incautious player—however, remember that almost all characters can simply run away or use pillar dancing should their health get too low.
