| Turns the air near the caster into a mighty, short-lived vortex, doing tremendous damage to everyone caught in it. Those affected will also be swept up into the air and tossed around. Only the eye of the storm is a safe place, and it follows the caster. After the vortex fades, it cannot be called forth again for a short time. |
Vortex is a monsters-only spell that conjures up a weak tornado centered around the caster. The resulting raging storm winds will throw you into the air, thrashing you around the room and dealing moderate physical damage, more so if you are close to the center and/or already in flight. However, unlike the player spell, this tornado only has a radius of 3 and lasts only 3 turns.
