Well, what you say seems to make sense if I'm understanding it correctly. Basically, if you are under divine retribution, you can't wait it out in the temple because you can't kill anything there to gain the experience you need to eventually reduce your penance counter. In that sense, I don't disagree with your edit. That info is probably from prior times, when you could actually take a big chunk of perma-food down there and literally wait out the wrath. Out of respect for Bwijn, and because his reason for reverting your edit isn't entirely clear to me, let's hold off until he's had a chance to review and respond (if he wants to). Not everyone gets on here everyday, so we might want to give it a week. Bwijn might have some interest in changing that content or re-purposing that section. So, just hold off for now and we'll figure this one out with a little time. Clearly not many things here have to be done in a huge hurry.
