Quaff is another word for drink, and is a command performed with the q key. It allows you to drink potions that you are carrying, or from a fountain if you are standing over one.
Quaffing will fail if:
- you are a mummy
- you are berserk
- you are levitating, trying to quaff from a fountain, and have no controlled flight
- probably also if you are transformed into a monster which cannot quaff.
