Version 0.34: This article is up to date for the latest stable release of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.

Monsters with the Fighter flag are considered to be skilled fighters. This monster flag is used to both characterize monster behaviour and increase their accuracy.

  • Monsters with this flag have higher accuracy with their melee attacks, scaling to their HD.[1]
  • Monsters with this flag also act differently when losing line of sight with players. While normally human-level intelligence monsters with ranged attacks prioritize having the further distance away for regaining line of sight, monsters with the Fighter flag will instead prioritize closing in fastest to attack the player in melee, heavily affecting corner behaviours. (Exceptions are granted to centaur warriors and yaktaur captains.) [2]
