Version 0.32: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
Your inventory is a list of all items you are currently carrying. To view your inventory while playing online, press 'i'. When playing offline, your inventory will be visible in the bottom right portion of the screen.
You can carry at most 52 items at a time, though some items (scrolls, potions, wands, throwing ammo) can be stacked, conserving space. Items you have no use for should be dropped to make space for more helpful items you may come across.
History
- Prior to 0.29, missile weapons required ammunition, which took up inventory slots.
- Prior to 0.26, food had to be carried around.
- Prior to 0.22, books were items that had to be carried around.
- Prior to 0.15, items had individual weights, and each character had a maximum carrying capacity determined by their size and strength stat. Also, certain items in your inventory could be destroyed, making it unwise to carry more of an item around than you really need.
