Bind Souls is a monsters-only spell that enchants all living creatures in the caster's LOS for some time. When an enchanted creature is slain, a simulacrum matching them will be created nearby. This spell also prevents your own undead-creating Necromancy (except Death Channel) from working.

History
- In 0.33, hostile sumulacra created via this spell will no longer give XP.
- Prior to 0.30, Gozag didn't block hostile soul binding.
- Prior to 0.27, a simulacrum would only appear if an enchanted monster would drop a corpse. That is, the spell only had a 50% chance to create a simulacrum on death.
- Bind Souls was introduced in 0.19.
