A royal jelly is a particularly rich and golden gelatinous thing which restores lost stats like a potion of restore abilities. In addition, it provides 5,000 nutrition, regardless of whether you're a herbivore or a carnivore. It thus provides as much nutrition as a meat ration at a lighter weight; however, it is often worth saving for its stat-restoring effect.
