This ring increases the ability of its wearer to use magical spells. |
Wearing a ring of wizardry provides you with 3 points of wizardry, improving your spell success rate significantly. This stacks with other sources of wizardry, but with rapidly diminishing returns. It has no impact whatsoever on spell hunger or spell power.
Desirability
Because spell power eventually winds up mattering much more than spell success rate, rings of wizardry are usually less desirable than rings which improve the power behind your spells, such as rings of fire, ice, or intelligence. However, if you intend to cast spells with low intelligence, heavy armour, or simply beyond the limits of your current skills, a ring of wizardry can be extremely helpful.
This ring will be identified when worn.
