Trunk-only: This article pertains to a feature of Crawl which is being tested. It will likely change before the next release, and may even be removed entirely.
This page is a stub. You could probably expand this page should you wish to do so.
A territorial gnarl of driftwood and shattered bones. Its resentment of the living has slowly twisted its remains into a monstrous form, capable of brandishing weapons and spreading terrible curses.

Draugr are skeletal derived undead, which have grown gnarled wooden limbs that allow them to carry weapons. They can inflict doom with their primary attack. Draugr are found primarily in the Crypt and the Tomb, wandering in bands with Death Knights, or as part of undead-themed vaults.

Useful Info

Draugr are generally more fragile than zombies, but faster and deal higher damage.

Identifying Draugr

Different base monsters will create different draugr with differing stats, but Crawl tends to lump them all together, making identifying them at a glance difficult. Console mode will display draugr as either z or Z, depending on their size. Tiles mode provides different tiles for several different kinds of draugr, but there are still many different monsters that fall under each type. In any case, if you want to find out exactly what you'll be fighting, simply hit x and highlight the draugr in question.

Below are all the categories of draugr in tiles mode:
