Version 0.17: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
This ring increases or decreases the mental ability of its wearer, depending on the degree to which it has been enchanted. |
A ±X ring of intelligence affects the intelligence of the wearer by X (ranges from +6 to -6). If the enchantment is negative, the ring is usually cursed and can cause stat zero.
Desirability
These rings are highly prized by all kinds of spellcasters since they reduce spell hunger while increasing spell success and power. They're nearly useless for characters who don't cast spells, except as a way to keep intelligence above zero while recovering from attribute drain.
