Desirability
Punk[1] has good damage output despite its low enchantment since very few monsters resist the 2d4 acid damage, and the corrosion effect, which will lower monster AC by 8 until it wears off (this does not stack). As most monsters don't have much AC to begin with, this is a major increase in damage.
History
- Prior to 0.29, Punk's base type was a fustibalus, which was reverted back to greatsling (modified sling). This weapon gained +1 accuracy in this version as a result.
- Prior to 0.19, Punk had a freezing brand; greatslings were renamed to fustibali in this version.
- Prior to 0.15, Punk was a +9, +12 sling, instead of a greatsling.
