What a fine idea! I like it for it's humor and somewhat regret that it was removed. IMHO "glamour" ability shouldn't have much influence on balance. -- [[User:Bwijn|Bwijn]] 10:53, 21 January 2013 (CET)

:Not to rain on your parade, but it wasn't intended to be humorous.  See the [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/glamour third definition], "glamour" can be just another word for bewitchment or enchantment.  Nowadays it appears with some frequency in vampire mythology (notably in True Blood), but evidently the DCSS devs decided it didn't fit with the vampire race when they introduced it.  Apologies if you already knew this and simply have a different sense of humor than I do. -[[User:Ion frigate|Ion frigate]] 11:48, 21 January 2013 (CET)

::I don't see any contradiction. The definition as bewitchment or enchantment is allright. The movie industry glamour of actors/actresses are sometimes ridiculous to a sober observer but will have effects to susceptible fans - just like game mechanics in DCSS maybe. The spell "Alistairs intoxication" is a little bit in this direction. And "glamour" is just an overwhelming effect even without alcohol. The allusion to "real" TV show worlds makes me laugh. - The mythological vampyres have a tremendous bewitchment trait to possible victims, true. What a fine idea! I like it for it's humor and somewhat regret that it was removed. IMHO "glamour" ability couldn't have much influence on balance. -- Bwijn 10:53, 21 January 2013 (CET)

Not to rain on your parade, but it wasn't intended to be humorous. See the third definition, "glamour" can be just another word for bewitchment or enchantment. Nowadays it appears with some frequency in vampire mythology (notably in True Blood), but evidently the DCSS devs decided it didn't fit with the vampire race when they introduced it. Apologies if you already knew this and simply have a different sense of humor than I do. -Ion frigate 11:48, 21 January 2013 (CET)
I don't see any contradiction. But wasn't it an ability of grey elves and not especially vampyres in our game? -- Bwijn 14:19, 21 January 2013 (CET)
