Electricity is one of the rarer elemental sources in the Dungeon. Both players and monsters can take advantage of electricity through spells or specially branded weapons, though some monsters also possess innate electric abilities.
Electricity Damage
Most types of Air Magic deal electric damage. Any species with arms can use electrocution weapons, which deals 'flat' damage regardless of skill or weapon type. Players can also use a lightning rod to the same effect.
"BEAM_ELEC" damage, comprising most (but not all) electric attacks, will ignore 1/2 of the targets AC.
Electricity Resistance
Electricity resistance reduces electric damage by 66% (to x33%).
It can be acquired from a number of sources:
Item:
- Staff of air
- Storm dragon scales
- Potion of resistance (temporary)
- Various randarts and unrands
Character:
- Black Draconians have innate rElec.
- Shock Resistance mutation
- The demonspawn mutation, Thin Metallic Scales 3
- Statue Form
