Version 0.32: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
| Hurls a large and heavy shard of crystal. It may render a creature's body structure as brittle and fragile as shattered and unrefined crystal, increasing the damage they take from all sources. |
Crystallizing Shot is a monster-only spell that launches a shard of crystal. If it hits a target and does any damage, there is a 2/3 chance to apply the Fragile status for 8-18 turns (up to 50 turns).
Note that the spell gives you the Fragile status before applying its own damage, so, for example, a crystal guardian's 2d24 shot can deal up to 72 damage instead of 48.
The following enemies cast Crystallizing Shot:
- r
Crystal echidna (2d19 damage) - 9
Crystal guardian (2d24 damage)
History
- In 0.33, crystallizing shot will be more accurate, more damaging, and more likely to apply Vitrify (75% chance instead of 66%). Also, it will give the Fragile status after applying its own damage.
- Crystallizing Shot was added in 0.32, replacing Crystal Bolt.
