Jiyva mutations

These mutations can only be acquired as gifts while worshiping Jiyva.

Offensive

Acidic Bite

Grants an auxiliary bite attack which deals an additional 2d4 acid damage and stacks with Fangs. Yellow draconians gain this mutation at level 14.

You have acidic saliva.

Eyeballs

Rank 1: +3 to hit. Rank 2: +5 to hit. Rank 3: +7 to hit, See Invisible.
The eyeballs can also cause confusion in your foes. ("The eyeballs on your body gaze at (foo).") This occurs more often with higher rank.

1. Your body is partially covered in golden eyeballs. 2. Your body is mostly covered in golden eyeballs. 3. Your body is completely covered in golden eyeballs.

Defensive

Gelatinous Body

Rank 1: +1 AC. Rank 2: +1 AC, +1 EV. Rank 3: +2 AC, +2 EV. Octopodes start at rank 1.

1. Your rubbery body absorbs attacks. 2. Your pliable body absorbs attacks. 3. Your gelatinous body deflects attacks.

Jelly missile

One of every two times a missile hits you, you will be healed for a random amount up to half of the damage received.

You have a small jelly attached to you that may absorb incoming projectiles.

Translucent Skin

Ranks 2 and 3 grant Stealth+ (+20 at rank 2, +40 at rank 3). Mutually exclusive with Camouflage.

1. Your skin is partially translucent. 2. Your skin is mostly translucent. 3. Your transparent skin reduces the accuracy of your foes.

General

Jelly growth

Allows you to detect nearby items with detection radius 6. Melee attacks can knock off the jelly with probability (damage done)/(hp max).

You have a small jelly attached to you that senses nearby items.

Pseudopods

Gives additional auxiliary Unarmed Combat attacks, but subtracts half of your body armour's AC much like the Deformed mutation (though the two do not stack). Damage is (4*(rank)).

1. Armour fits poorly on your pseudopods. 2. Armour fits poorly on your large pseudopods. 3. Armour fits poorly on your massive pseudopods.

Tendrils

One of every five times you are attacked in melee, you will disarm the attacker if a random number between 1 and your dexterity, or a random number between 1 and your strength, is greater than the attacker's hit dice (or the attacker's HD multiplied by 1.5 if it has the fighter flag).

Thin tendrils of slime have grown from your body.

History

In 0.13 three new mutations were added: tendrils, jelly growth and jelly missile; and jelly spawner was removed (eating food may create a jelly).
