Bestows a strong beacon upon a targeted creature. It announces the presence and location of the marked creature to everyone on the same level.

Sentinel's Mark is a monsters-only spell that attempts to temporarily afflict you with the Mark condition, causing all monsters on the current floor to know your location and seek you out. Sleeping monsters are not affected by this until they wake up. Characters with high magic resistance may negate the effect entirely. Characters with at least MR++++ are immune to this enchantment, but MR+++ is enough to reliably resist it.

Quaffing a potion of cancellation will cancel this status effect.

You may also acquire the Mark condition by stepping on an alarm trap or from an exploration trap effect. This effect ignores your magic resistance and also makes a very loud noise.
