Is it still possible to find a portal to the abyss? It never happened to me so I was wondering if it was still true --Fingolfin (talk) 14:38, 25 August 2015 (CEST)
- For whatever it's worth, I've been through a handful of Labs in 0.16 and I've yet to see one, if memory serves me correctly --Buddy23Lee (talk) 08:22, 26 August 2015 (CEST)
- I guess it means i'll have to take a look to the code to know the truth -- Fingolfin (talk) 15:39, 26 August 2015 (CEST)
- It's quite illogical to hope for an abyssal portal in the lab. 1. You wouldn't want to give up the lab's loot. 2. The lab is normally a gone branch the moment you leave it. The extra computational effort to hold it open (while lab is concepted as everchanging) would be grave for the developers. -- Bwijn (talk) 21:26, 26 August 2015 (CEST)
- I'd agree that actually using such a portal might be a bad idea (hell, I'm nervous to enter the abyss at almost ANY time), but I think what Fingolfin was looking into was whether or not such a portal generates anymore (if it ever did), as it's stated in this article (certainly correct me if I'm wrong about that). Given the points you've made above, sounds like it might be time to remove that possibly outdated or incorrect info. --Buddy23Lee (talk) 01:02, 27 August 2015 (CEST)
