Drains the life force of any nearby enemies, healing the user depending on the damage dealt.

Drain Life is a monsters-only spell that deals negative energy damage to every enemy in the caster's line of sight and restores half the damage dealt to the caster. In effect, this allows the enemy to smite you and all your allies and heal itself in a single action. Negative energy resistance reduces its effect, negating it entirely at rN+++.

The following enemies cast Drain Life:

• f Deathcap (2d15 damage)
• 3 Soul eater (2d13 damage)
• V Vampire bloodprince (2d17 damage)

• Prior to 0.32, Drain Life did less damage and checked AC.
• Prior to 0.29, Drain Life didn't check AC.
• Drain Life was added in 0.12.
