Protean talisman

| An ever-changing fragment of something primordial; its substance seems to undulate between flesh and bone and perhaps even metal. A sufficiently skilled shapeshifter can stabilise it into a useable - if unpredictable - form.
(If your Shapeshifting skill is at least 6, attempting to put this on will transform it into a random one of: Rimehorn, Scarab, Medusa, or Spore talismans.) |
A Protean talisman is a talisman that will turn into a tier 2 talisman when Put on with at least 6 Shapeshifting skill.
The talisman has an equal chance to turn into one of the following talismans:
Shapeshifters start with a protean talisman; otherwise, this talisman can only generate in certain vaults.
History
- In 0.34, spore talismans were added, while maw talismans tier were shifted upwards, making spore talisman replace maw talisman in the possible outcome of the Protean talisman.
- Protean talismans were added in 0.33.
