Draining Gaze is a monster-only spell. Against players, it irresistibly drains 3d(4 * HD / 3)/3 - 1 MP.[1] Against monsters, it inflicts the antimagic status. Player Djinn have no MP, and are completely unaffected by this spell. As a "gaze" spell, it does not take time to cast.
If a ghost moth uses this spell on the player, it is healed for the MP drained.[2]
