Gnomes are weak monsters based off of the obsolete species. They only appear in a rare entry vault based off of obsolete player species.
Tips & Tricks
They might be able to hurt you a bit if they find good equipment, but since they generally only appear in an entry vault, the only way they could get equipment would be if you deliberately gave them some.
