The mask of the dragon[1] provides an interesting trade-off. The willpower boost is nice, and see invisible convenient, though the most unique aspect is the +3 slaying. This comes at the cost of any AC from the helmet slot. It's usually worthwhile, unless you are really low on AC, or happen to have another extremely useful artefact hat or helmet.
